Hazrat Sultan Bahu Trust Presents:
In Mirpur, Pakistan, An esteemed seat of learning for religious and secular studies
Helping you fulfil your duty
Support the NEW EDUCATIONAL PROJECT providing for orphan and poor girls and boys studying in Mirpur, Azad Kashmir
Islamic Help has launched an educational project for the deprived, orphans and poor girls of Azad Kashmir so that they can be provided with the opportunity to study in the modern secular and traditional Islamic sciences within an Islamic environment.
Jamia Al-Hiraa Al-Islamiyya
(for male and female students)
There is a paramount need to provide secondary education and seats of learning to prepare religious guides. In particular, there is a need to cater for this in an environment where male and female students are given the highest standard of religious and secular education, coupled with an ethos of moral and spiritual development. Undoubtedly this is the means by which the country and Islam can produce individuals who not only are attached to the blessings of the Quran and Sunna, but also have their fingers on the pulse of modern trends too. Their efforts and endeavours will assist in moving with the times as well as revive interest in religion.
Our institution (Jami Al-Hiraa) caters not just for the male students but for female students too. The need for women to attain religious and secular knowledge is no less than the need for men. Female students of today will be the mothers of tomorrow; they will assume responsibility of the entire up-keeping of homes and will play a pivotal role in the up-bringing, education and nurturing of children. If the environment at home can be improved, then society as a whole can resemble paradise. Moreover, a female scholar armed with religious knowledge is in a better position to spread and propagate Islam amongst the Muslim women.

Jamia Al-Hiraa Al-Islamiyya provides:
- Free education and spiritual nurturing in a serene environment.
- Free accommodation in the adjacent, fully-equipped hostel.
- An excellent system of education based on the efforts of the hardworking, responsible, competent and experienced teachers, which enables us to provide the highest degree of education.
- Opportunities for male and female students to achieve the best national and 9 international qualifications.
- A 34 Canal / approx 17200 square meters, spacious campus in the heart of Mirpur city, with an excellent standard of food, housing and medical support provided in the adjacent student hostel.
- An excellent set-up and organisational structure to provide educational support and moral development for the students.

Curriculum/Syllabus
- A unique and interesting curriculum for religious and secular education.
- In a view of the fast-moving times and the social circumstances of female students, a comprehensive yet brief course of four years.
- High standard of education for male and female students in the faculty of computer science.
- A two-year course in the faculty of Tajwid (Quranic recitation).
- Special emphasis on the spiritual, ethical and practical development of all students; for example acts such as Tahajjud Salah, Zikr sessions and readings from Asma al-Husna, Asma Al-Nabi (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
- An intrinsic system of internal examinations held weekly, monthly, quarterly, bi-annually and every nine months.
- Examinations expertly set in compliance with the external boards of Tanzim Al-Madris (Pakistan), Mirpur Educational Board (MEB), Azad Kashmir University and Punjab University.

A guarantee of future opportunities
Upon leaving the university, there are countless opportunities for our male and female graduates to find employment in mosques, madrassas, schools, colleges, the armed forces and other fields that provide religious and social assistance to the community. The institution also provides support for outstanding male and female graduates to further their nationsla and international qualifications. Five intelligent students – after completing their education at Jamia Al-Hiraa – have gone on to achieve degrees at the esteemed Jamia Fath University (Damascus). Currently, one female graduate and three male graduates are studying for their MPhil and MA at the Islamic University (Islamabad), in principles of Hadith and Comparative Religion.
Future Plans
For the completion of this grand project, a 34 Canal/approx 17200 square meters plot was purchased for four crore (4 million) rupees in 2004. An additional one crore was spent on maintaining and modifying 80.000 squared feet of the site, to make it suitable for the requirements of the university. Now, by the favour of Allah Almighty, additional extension work has commenced on the campus and hostel. This will include a mosque for the students, a new, separate hostel for both sexes, a teaching block, library, auditorium, computer lab, teacher living quarters, cafeteria, guest house, administration block and dispensary. A considerable amount of money will be spent on these additions; estimates put the figure in the region of five crore rupees.

Results
For the last five years, the results of the male and female students at the university have highlighted the success achieved by the university. During this period, a mark of 100% has been maintained in the Intermediate and Faazil ‘Arbi examinations for the Mirpur board. Each year, the male and female students have achieved high individual positions on the board.
In the Intermediate board exams of 2007, the students of the university took first and second position, and in the Faazil ‘Arbi exams, they took first, second and third position. Recently, all female graduates of the university went on to achieve first division passes in MA Arabic at Azad Kashmir University.
An insight into the excellent results achieved
Twenty-five female students and eighteen male students achieved over 700 marks in the FA exams, thus gaining first division marks in Adib ‘Arbi. All twenty eight female students gained more than 400 in the Faazil ‘Arbi exams, thus gaining first division marks.
